Ernie Cards Forever

This is our founder Ms. Marla Moley & her cat Ernie (aka Ernie Boo Boo)! Ernie Cards was founded in 2013 and originally started out as The Alex Band Project. It was started in memory of Marla's first card buddy, Alex Shepherd. I've been told that they bonded over their love for cats! After his passing, she decided to send cards to more pediatric cancer patients, hoping to put a much needed smile on their faces! In 2017, she merged the Alex Band Project with Ernie Cards. Over the years, she sent cards to pediatric cancer units, to the homes of several special needs kiddos, and in recent years, even to sober living facilities. She was definitely a shining star in so many people's lives!

Sadly, we lost Marla on Sept 1st, 2023 due to complications with her heart. She left quite the legacy, one that several of her friends & I would like to continue on with in her memory. We banded together and Ernie Cards officially became Ernie Cards Forever. We would like to continue being able to send cards & care packages. Also, we are now including sending cards to pediatric cardiac hospital units in her honor. Ernie Cards Forever officially launched on February 1, 2024, the first day of American heart month. We sarted this page to give a little info about what we do and also to try to raise much needed funds to be able to carry on her mission.

**When Marla passed away, we were unable to find her address book. She sent to so many kids & we don't have any of their addresses. If she sent cards or care packages to your child, please reach out to us, we'll add your address onto our list! Email us at erniecardsforever@gmail.com.**
